Pregnancy-related problems: antenatal advice and exercises, including treatment for back and pelvic girdle pain (formerly known as SPD) during and after pregnancy, and for postnatal problems eg separated tummy muscles (diastasis rectus abdominus).

Gynaecological problems: bladder and bowel problems, including incontinence, frequency, urgency and overactive bladder, constipation and problems controlling wind. Also pelvic floor exercises and advice given for pelvic organ prolapse and sexual pain or dysfunction. These conditions may have a number of causes but are usually associated with weak pelvic floor muscles.

Antenatal Class

Essential Physiotherapy for Pregnancy

A one-off class for pregnant women led by Vicky Keates, Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist

Designed to teach pregnant women how to manage the changes during pregnancy. The class will provide education, exercises and advice how to:

• Improve posture
• Reduce back pain
• Strengthen the pelvic floor
• Keep fit during pregnancy

Small group for a relaxed setting and the opportunity to ask questions. Maternity belts and bump bands will also be available for purchase and fitting.

First Tuesday in every month 6-7pm
