DIRECTOR & CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Hi, I’m Pete and I recently became a Director at Hallamshire Physiotherapy in April 2022. I graduated as a Physiotherapist from Sheffield Hallam University in 2015 and I have just recently completed my Masters degree, in Advancing Neuromusculoskeletal Practice at the University of Nottingham with a first class honours, which I studied part-time alongside working.

I initially started my career as a rotational Physiotherapist in the NHS before specialising in MSK in 2017, before working my way up to an advanced MSK specialist therapist. During this time, I also worked at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club for 6 years as a Physiotherapist, learning about sporting and adolescent Physiotherapy.

My experience within MSK is extensive, working within both primary and secondary care alongside GP’s and Orthopaedic consultants, on the wards with the orthopaedic team following surgery or trauma and finally for the staff physiotherapy team, treating the NHS staff in the hospital.

I began working privately in January 2021 at the Hallamshire Physiotherapy clinic part-time, before gradually increasing my hours to full-time work alongside becoming a Director for the company.

Finally, I also specialise in vestibular treatment, addressing balance and dizziness issues with patients, having worked with the specialist team at the hospital alongside the consultants. I now see both acute and chronic conditions here at the clinic, where I hope to address the problem as well as offer reassurance and education for conditions that can cause high levels of distress.

I am also a very keen sportsman, regularly playing football, golf and cycling, as well as running and weight training to keep myself fit. This drives my interest in rehabilitation.
