Hi, my name is Jackie, and I am a Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist at Hallamshire Physiotherapy Clinic. I have over 10 years of experience helping women with pelvic health conditions, pregnancy and postnatal recovery, bladder and bowel problems, pelvic pain, prolapse, and symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause. Alongside my work at Hallamshire Physiotherapy, I continue to work within the NHS and private practice, providing specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapy services.
I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 and have worked within the NHS throughout my career. After the birth of my first child, I chose to specialise in Women’s Health Physiotherapy, inspired by my own experience of physiotherapy during pregnancy and postnatal recovery. Since then, I have worked in specialist Women’s Health services at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Rotherham Hospital, as well as within community continence services and specialist menopause clinics.
I have a particular interest in supporting women through perimenopause and menopause, alongside treating a wide range of pelvic health conditions including urinary and bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, birth-related injuries, and rehabilitation before and after gynaecological surgery. I believe in providing compassionate, evidence-based care and working closely with each patient to develop an individualised treatment plan that helps them regain confidence and return to the activities they enjoy.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP). I have completed extensive postgraduate training in female pelvic health, continence, prolapse management, pelvic pain, and menopause care, and I continue to undertake advanced professional development to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of care.
