CHARTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Hi, I’m Ian and I qualified in 1999 and started work at the Hallamshire hospital as a rotational physiotherapist. Following this I worked at Sheffield Children’s hospital in an outpatient/orthopaedic role. I left the children’s and started at Claremont hospital where I worked for twelve years in an orthopaedics and outpatient setting. I have worked closely with consultants in post operative rehabilitation, with considerable experience in more complicated shoulder rehabilitation. I developed the outpatient clinic, receiving consultant and GP referrals, some of which continue to date. As well as this I worked with the professional Rapha Condor cycling team, based at Claremont in the small consultant led team.

Following Claremont, I started at Hallamshire Physiotherapy in 2014 as a musculoskeletal outpatient physio treating a variety of orthopaedic and sports related conditions. As well as musculoskeletal conditions, I also worked for several years as a vestibular physio treating and rehabilitating both acute and chronic dizziness and balance related conditions.

I am a very keen fell runner and regular climber. These sports drive my interest in rehabilitating injuries as I fully understand the frustration they can cause.

HCPC registered.

Chartered Physiotherapist with the CSP.
